The project included the construction of a new 858 bed hospital with acute care facilities, out patients, operating theatres, multi storey car park, grade level parking, energy centre and helicopter landing pad.
Specialist excavation was required to remove 'hot spots' of asbestos and was followed by basement bulk excavation. Construction work included foundations, basement slab, ten cores to a height of seven floors and the design and installation of post tensioning to all suspended floor slabs.
