Wembley National Stadium

The Wembley Project involved the demolition of the old Wembley stadium, followed by a major earthworks package to prepare the ground for the new 90,000 seat stadium, the most striking feature of the new stadium being the dramatic 133 metre high arch which has a span of 325 metres and can be seen from various vantage points across London.
Our package of works of value £46M included, the drainage, substructure pilecaps and retaining walls including the massive concrete arch supports. The slipformed construction of the main and secondary cores, including the construction of the mass transit stair cases within each of the major cores, the reinforced concrete structures up to podium level and concrete toppings to the structural steel and precast concrete terracing.
