Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham

The new super-hospital in Birmingham was the first new general hospital in the city for over 60 years. Our work, for main contractor Balfour Beatty, involved construction of four 9-storey slipformed cores with installation of pre-cast stairs and insitu landings, as well as construction of the service tunnel including basement liner walls and lift pits. Our work also included the construction of insitu concrete columns, walls and floors adjacent to cores 1 and 4.
