HQ3 Canary Wharf, London
This 35 storey office building consists of 4 levels of basement and stands 165metres tall, providing 600,000 square feet of office space.
Our works included the four storey reinforced concrete basement below dock level supporting the35 storey structural steel frame building which took its latteral support from one of the largest and tallest slipformed cores that PCH had undertaken at that time. Here we developed the space frame to carry a concrete placing boom on top of the slipform rig, to assist placing the core concrete. Over a 14 week period we slipformed the full height of the 165m core a total of 7700 cubic miters of concrete was placed in to the walls achieving an average 2.54 meter daily slide rate.
